Refinishing

Our 10 Step Process

SemTech

Step 1:   Equipment is brought into your home and is set up. No worry there is no mess.

Step 2:    Your existing caulk is completely removed.

Step 3:   Drain trip lever and drain screen is removed. This system is designed to work with the                       bathtub drain in place.

Step 4:    The surface is grinded with a special grinding disc. This part is done to very damaged                       tubs, typical of some sort of chemical damage.

Step 5:   The surface is then cleaned and acid etched. This process roughs up the surface similar                      to sanding. This assures proper adhesion to the surface.

Step 6:    The tub is completely dried.

Step 7:    The walls and floor are completely masked off to insure against any damage.

Step 8:   All chips and imperfections are filled with a two part putty and then sanded smooth to                       original surface level.

Step 9:   A special bonding agent called Semz-Fuze is applied to the surface to insure proper adheshion. I feel to it to be the most important part to a lasting finish..

Step 10: An aliphatic urethane (iso-free) topcoat is then applied to the surface in 3 applications.
